#1 Slicer’s Pizza

My first impression of the restaurant was that it was a little bit outdated, but I soon realized that this is actually part of its charm. There’s something very nostalgic about the old-fashioned décor and the welcoming atmosphere.

When it came to ordering, I knew I wanted to try all of their signature recipes. The service was excellent and my pizza arrived piping hot! The menu is extensive, with everything from basic cheese pizzas to more inventive combinations. It was hard to choose so I decided to try a variety of dishes and they were all fantastic! My favorite had to be the pepperoni and mushroom pizza – the combination of toppings was perfect.

The crust was also impressive; it had a nice crunchy texture on the outside but remained soft on the inside. It wasn’t too thick or thin – just right for me!

Overall, Slicer’s Pizza has become my favorite spot in Bakersfield for a delicious slice. If you’re ever in town, make sure you stop by for an unforgettable experience and perhaps even take home some leftovers!

#2 Steve’s Pizza

The first thing that you notice when walking in is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant itself looks like it’s straight out of an Italian countryside – with its stone arches, exposed brick, and rustic wooden furniture. But this isn’t just a classic Italian pizzeria — Steve’s Pizza also features modern California cuisine with unique farm-to-table toppings.

The pizza itself is nothing short of amazing! Steve’s uses only the finest ingredients from California farms and local cheeses — all baked to perfection in their wood fire oven. There are a variety of topping combinations to choose from — I opted for pepperoni and sausage for a classic taste plus some added jalapeños for a nice zesty kick. The end result was a delicious pie that had everyone at my table raving!

But it’s not just the pizza that makes Steve’s Pizza stand out — they also offer an amazing selection of sides and drinks. From creamy garlic knots to bruschetta bites, there’s something for everyone in the family. And don’t even get me started on their beer selection — far above average than most other pizza places I’ve tried!

It has everything–great atmosphere, fresh ingredients, creative toppings, and delicious side dishes. A must-try experience when looking to indulge on a great slice of pizza!

#3 Mike’s Express Pizza

The first thing that I noticed when I walked in the door was the delicious smell of the freshly-baked pizza. I couldn’t wait to try it! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made me feel right at home.

The menu offered an impressive selection of pizzas, with several unique toppings. Everything seemed freshly made and top-notch quality. I opted for a simple classic cheese pizza, as it is a great way to judge a place’s authenticity.

To my delight, Mike’s Express Pizza did not disappoint! The cheese pizza was a perfect blend of flavors—mozzarella, parmesan and cheddar cheeses all melted together with sweet tomato sauce. The crust was just crispy enough and just soft enough. It was absolutely delicious!

I also tried one of their specialty pizzas—the Hawaiian Pineapple—and it was even better than the cheese pizza! Sweet pineapple chunks combined with salty Canadian bacon truly made this pizza something special.

I’m so glad I found Mike’s Express Pizza in Bakersfield CA because it probably has some of the best pizza around! If you’re ever looking for a place to grab some great Italian food, this is definitely your best bet!

#4 Bakersfield Pizza Co. & Bar

For starters, the décor is inviting and cozy. The restaurant has a homey feel to it and is clearly designed to be an enjoyable dining experience.

Then there’s the pizza itself. It was simply heavenly! Every bite was filled with delicious flavor that brought me back for more. The dough is cooked perfectly, not too thick or thin, just right! The cheese and toppings were fresh and vibrant, truly bringing out the best of every bite.

But what really put this place over the top was the staff. From the moment I walked in until I left, they went out of their way to make sure my dining experience was top-notch. They were friendly, accommodating, and always willing to answer any questions I had about the food or restaurant.

#5 Valentino’s Pizza

I recently stopped in for a bite and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was cooked to perfection – the crust had just the right amount of crunch and the toppings were fresh and tasty. I also appreciated that they had a kid’s menu; this is not something you see everywhere, so it’s nice that they provide options for children. For vegetarians they also offer some delicious vegetable-only pies (which are hard to come by in pizzerias).

The one downside is that unfortunately, Valentino’s Pizza does not have delivery service. However, this didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of their food. In fact, it gave me more appreciation for how delicious the pizza was since I had to take the time out of my day to get it!

#6 Frugatti’s

It’s not just the pizza that draws me to this restaurant either; it’s the atmosphere and the friendly staff. The classic Italian décor makes me feel like I’m in an old-world Italian pizzeria and the servers greet you with a warm smile and attentive service.

As for the pizza itself, Frugatti’s offers some tasty options that can’t be beat. From their classic Margherita to their spicy pepperoni, Frugatti’s has something for everyone. Additionally, they offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options so everyone can enjoy delicious pizzas.

And if you’re really in the mood for something special, try their gourmet toppings! From artichoke hearts to fire-roasted tomato sauce – they’ve got it all!

The experience starts right away, the first thing that you notice when you walk in is the open kitchen. It’s all laid out for you to see exactly how they make their pizza and it’s quite impressive. The chefs have a certain flair as they assemble each order; you can tell they know what they’re doing and enjoy their work.

My favorite part about Blaze Pizza is how customizable your pizza can be. You choose from a selection of sauces, cheeses, proteins and vegetables, allowing you to create something truly unique each time. I usually get creative and come up with something new every visit!

On top of having amazing pizza, the atmosphere at Blaze Pizza is great too. Everyone from the staff to fellow customers are friendly and upbeat – it’s a really nice place to spend an afternoon! Plus there are lots of TVs playing sports games so it’s an ideal spot for catching up on your favorite teams.

Overall I give Blaze Pizza 5 stars! It’s by far one of the best pizzerias I’ve ever visited. The quality ingredients and friendly service make this place truly stand out – definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for delicious food in Bakersfield CA!

#8 Woodstone Pizzerias

When I first arrived, it felt like I had been transported back in time. The wood-burning ovens and the rustic décor gave the place a classic, old-world feel. But don’t let the atmosphere fool you; Woodstone Pizzerias is modern where it counts.

The pizza was truly delicious! With fresh ingredients and an incredible combination of spices, every bite was heavenly. The crust had a nice crunch and the cheese was perfectly melted. Plus, they offer unique specialty pies that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.

I also had some of their appetizers which were just as amazing as the pizza itself! From the crispy calamari to the garlic knots, my stomach was in pizza heaven. And if you’re looking for something more exotic, they even have gourmet pizzas with exotic toppings like truffle oil and balsamic glaze!

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some of the best pizza in Bakersfield CA! The atmosphere is quaint but modern, and their food is simply unbeatable!

#9 Magoo’s Pizza

The atmosphere is really fun and inviting, which I appreciate in a restaurant. The staff was friendly, especially the pizza chef, Magoo. Talk about passion for his craft! He’s been working there for over 20 years and still loves every minute of it.

I ordered the classic one-topping pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. Let me just say…MAGNIFICENT! The dough was soft and chewy, the sauce had just the right amount of flavor and spices, and the cheese was oh so gooey! I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on such deliciousness all this time.

The pizza is definitely worth every penny. I would go as far to say that this is the best pizza in Bakersfield CA! Do yourself a favor and try Magoo’s Pizza at least once; you won’t regret it. Bon appetit!

#10 Jerry’s Pizza & Pub

The pizza was so delicious that I had to restrain myself from eating an entire pie in one sitting. From the thin, crispy crust to the robust tomato sauce and savory toppings, every bite was a tantalizing experience. The waitstaff were also incredibly friendly, making sure that my dining experience was as enjoyable as possible.

The atmosphere at Jerry’s Pizza & Pub was especially great too – they have this classic Italian vibe with red and white checkered tablecloths and lots of pictures of old-school gangster movies on the walls. Plus, their jukebox is always playing some great tunes!

The atmosphere is incredible and the employees are so friendly. Every time I go, I’m greeted by a smiling face and asked to sit down and enjoy their delicious food.

The pizza itself is the best part. It’s made with fresh, authentic Chicago-style ingredients, including a hand-tossed crust that’s so crispy it almost crackles when you bite into it! The sauce is made from vine-ripened tomatoes and herbs grown right in Bakersfield, blended together to perfection, giving every pizza its own unique flavor.

And then there’s the cheese. Oh my goodness! Cubbies uses a blend of traditional Italian cheeses that melts perfectly into their savory sauces and tasty crusts – creating the most delicious combination of flavors imaginable in every bite.
