I have been fortunate enough to travel all over the world and sample the most delicious pizzas. However, it’s always great coming back to the midwest and finding some hidden gems. That’s why I set out on an adventure to find the best pizza in Appleton WI. After trying 11 different restaurants in town, I’m ready to share my findings with you.

I’m sure you can imagine that there were more than a few humorous moments along the way, but at the end of the day, it was mostly about finding the best pizza!

#1 Donatos Pizza

The atmosphere is perfect for a casual night out with friends, with super friendly service and some really cool decorations around the restaurant. The pizza itself is absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked pies topped with crisp veggies and savory meats – what more could you ask for? Plus, they have some really unique toppings like their famous bacon-wrapped crust!

I’ve rarely seen such attention to detail when crafting pizza. Each slice had the perfect ratio of chewy crust to rich toppings. And the flavors were out of this world! The garlic-parmesan sauce was especially good – it tied everything together perfectly.

In short, my time at Donatos Pizza was amazing. I can confidently say that they serve the best pizza in Appleton WI. If you’re ever in town, I highly recommend checking them out and treating yourself to a delicious meal!

#2 Ellinor restaurant

The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, with an inviting and friendly staff. Plus, they serve alcohol (hard liquor!) and dessert which is always a bonus.

The pizza itself is out of this world! Every topping was cooked to perfection and the crusts were just crunchy enough. Plus, you can get different sizes so everyone can be happy!

My only complaint about Ellinor Restaurant is that they don’t offer delivery. But it’s worth it to go out and enjoy the atmosphere in person!

#3 Pierri Pizza

Upon entering Pierri, I could tell from the delicious smells that something special was in store. The atmosphere was inviting with dim lights and old-fashioned styling. As I looked around, I noticed several customers enjoying their slices – and it wasn’t long before I was joining them!

My meal at Pierri started off with one of the most exquisite garlic knots I have ever tasted. Tender dough, cooked to perfection and topped with a savory garlic butter; they were the perfect precursor to even more delightfully cheesy pizza goodness.

The pizza itself could only be described as a work of art: a tangy tomato sauce layered over delicious mozzarella cheese and sprinkled generously with herbs. Each slice was full of flavor, leaving me wanting more after every bite.

#4 Pizza King

The restaurant itself looks like something straight out of a pizza-loving traveler’s dreams: the red-and-white stripped walls adorned with photos of Italian landmarks, the checkered tablecloths, and the bustling kitchen full of talented chefs. When I first stepped in, I was overwhelmed by the delicious smells emanating from every corner.

The pizzas here are absolutely magnificent. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and each one is cooked to perfection. The crust is light and fluffy while still being sturdy enough to hold all its toppings. The sauce is flavorful with just the right amount of spice – not too much or too little. And best of all, the cheese! It’s so buttery and creamy that it practically melts in your mouth!

I also must say that the staff at Pizza King were extremely friendly and accommodating. They listened to my requests for custom toppings and made sure everything was perfect before serving it up. Furthermore, their prices are very reasonable – especially considering this was some of the best pizza I’ve ever tasted!

#5 Christianos Pizza

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The pizza dough is freshly made in-house with the perfect combination of crunchy crust, flavor-packed sauce and cheesy goodness. I especially love their specialty pizzas like the “Wisconsinite,” with lots of Wisconsin’s famous cheese curd, or their spicy “Hot Mama” that really packs a punch.

If you’re looking for something a little different, try one of Christianos’ unique creations like the Mediterranean-style “Greek Goddess”, which is topped with feta cheese and kalamata olives. They even have vegan options if you don’t eat meat!

In short, Christianos Pizza is simply the best pizza in Appleton WI. Whether you’re looking for an amazing gourmet pizza or just craving some classic comfort food, this place has it all! Trust me, it’s worth checking out and will certainly not disappoint!

#6 Home Run Pizza

When I first stepped in the door, I was pleasantly surprised by how inviting and modern the restaurant was. The staff were incredibly friendly and eager to help me find just what I was looking for.

I decided to try their Pepperoni Pizza and it certainly delivered! The crust was perfectly cooked, thin yet still tasty, while the cheese and toppings were cooked to perfection. I especially appreciated how generous they were with the pepperoni — no skimpy servings here!

But what really put a smile on my face was the amazing service. My waiter had an infectious personality that kept me laughing throughout my meal. Not only that, but he was knowledgeable about all of their menu items, which really helped me decide what to order.

My experience at Home Run Pizza is one that I will not soon forget. If you are ever looking for the best pizza in Appleton WI, look no further than Home Run Pizza!

#7 Sal’s Pizza

From the moment I stepped into Sal’s Pizza, the atmosphere was electric. The dimly-lit restaurant had a cozy charm that immediately made me feel at home. The smell of fresh-baked pizza wafted in the air and my mouth was watering with anticipation.

The staff were friendly and eager to serve me up some slices. I asked for their ‘signature’ pizza – and they certainly did not disappoint!

The cheese was melted just right and the dough was light and fluffy. The flavor balance of sweet and savory toppings was perfect. Plus, the prices were more than reasonable; given the quality of pizza, it certainly seemed like a steal!

I would easily recommend Sal’s Pizza over any other place for best pizza in Appleton WI! Heck, it tasted better than some of the best pizzas I’ve had in Rome or New York City. They really know how to make an amazing pie!

#8 Luigis Pizza of Appleton

Upon first entering the restaurant I was overwhelmed with the smell of delicious pizza and cheese. The atmosphere of the restaurant made me feel like I was back in Italy, where I had sampled some of the finest pizzas of my life!

The staff at Luigis Pizza of Appleton is also wonderful. They were friendly and knowledgeable about their product which gave me confidence that the pizza would be top-notch.

Indeed, it was even better than expected! The crust was perfectly crisp, while still having a bit of crunch in it. And the toppings were incredibly fresh and tasty – everything from olives to bell peppers, mushrooms to anchovies. The cheese was what really sealed the deal for me – golden and creamy, it was truly Italian heaven on a slice!

All in all, Luigis Pizza of Appleton has now become one of my favorite spots as far as pizza goes. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re ever in Appleton WI looking for some amazing pizza – trust me when I say you won’t regret it!

#9 Stuc’s Pizza

The first thing that struck me when I visited Stuc’s Pizza was the atmosphere – it had a fun, laid-back vibe that made me feel right at home.

Next up, the pizza. Let me just say, wow! The crust was perfectly thin and crisp, with just enough cheese to make it ooey gooey delicious. Toppings were plentiful and fresh, and the combination of flavors worked incredibly well together. I definitely got my money’s worth with this one!

The staff at Stuc’s Pizza also deserve a shout out. Everyone was friendly and welcoming – they made sure to answer all my questions about the menu items and assured me that I couldn’t go wrong with whichever pizza I chose. They even gave me some tips on what to order next time – not something you see often in the service industry these days!

I would highly recommend Stuc’s Pizza for anyone looking for the best pizza in Appleton WI!

#10 Pizza King

I arrived at Pizza King expecting the worst, but I was pleasantly surprised. The menu was vast, with all sorts of delicious toppings and crusts to choose from. I ordered a couple of slices – one plain cheese and one pepperoni – and dug in.

My first bite of the cheese slice was absolute perfection. The thin, crispy crust was cooked to perfection and had just the right hint of garlic. The sauce wasn’t too sweet or too acidic and the cheese was perfectly melted and gooey. I couldn’t believe it!

The pepperoni slice was even better; it had that classic NY-style thin crust, loaded with generous amounts of freshly grated mozzarella cheese, savory pepperonis, piping hot sauce, and fragrant herbs. Each bite seemed to get more delicious than the last!

Overall, Pizza King’s thin crust pies have changed my entire outlook on pizza. They’ve earned my title as having some of the best pizza in Appleton WI!

#11 Wiseguys Pizzeria & Pub

The experience at Wiseguys was great – there’s something for everyone, including a kid’s menu and desserts. It also has the added benefit of serving alcohol (including hard liquor!), which is great if you’re looking to have some drinks while you chow down on a delicious pizza.

Plus, it’s a great place to watch sports! Whether you’re an NFL fan or just love your local team, they’ve got plenty of TVs to enjoy the game while you munch on some cheesy goodness.

The one downside I noticed is that they don’t offer delivery – so if you’re feeling too laid back to make the trip out, you’ll have to find somewhere else for your pizza fix. But trust me when I say it will be worth it!

From the atmosphere and service to the fresh ingredients and tasty toppings, Wiseguys Pizzeria & Pub truly deserves its title as the best pizza in Appleton WI.
