I must say, I’ve had some really great meals all over the world while in pursuit of the perfect pie. But my latest experience going around Napa Valley to review their best pizzerias puts them near (or maybe even at!) the top of my list!

I ended up visiting 11 different restaurants, from wood-fired pizza places to those with a classic Italian vibe. Along the way, I encountered delicious toppings, homemade sauces and freshly made doughs – it was tough cutting this list down!

My mission? Find the best pizza in Napa Valley for you!

#1 Foodshed Take Away

The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite inviting and I had a great time enjoying the ambience. But what makes Foodshed Take Away stand out amongst its competitors is the quality of their pizzas! As soon as the pizza arrived, my mouth was watering. The fresh dough was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of topping that wasn’t too heavy or too light.

The toppings are unique and not what you’d find at typical pizza restaurants. They offer creative combinations, from an asparagus-mushroom pizza to an eggplant-parmesan pizza – there’s something for everyone! And it certainly doesn’t hurt that the ingredients are locally sourced for maximum freshness.

Overall, I’d highly recommend Foodshed Take Away for anyone looking for the best pizza in Napa Valley. Not only do they have delicious food, but their attention to detail and commitment to providing customers with a wonderful dining experience is truly commendable.

#2 Fazerrati’s Pizza

I had the pleasure of experiencing their pepperoni and sausage pizza, which was prepared to perfection. The crust was a perfect balance of crispy and chewy, while the toppings were cooked to just the right level of char. The flavor profile was excellent – the pepperoni had a nice kick to it, and the sausage was juicy without being greasy.

The atmosphere at Fazerrati’s Pizza is worth mentioning as well. Set in an old-fashioned Italian restaurant, complete with red checkered tablecloths, this place had a great vibe. The staff were friendly and attentive too; they made sure everything was to my satisfaction throughout my meal.

#3 Pizzeria Tra Vigne

My experience started off with some drinks. I was delighted to find that they not only serve beer and wine, but they offer hard liquor too – the only place in Napa Valley where you can get hard liquor with your pizza!

The menu is diverse enough for everyone – there’s a kids’ menu, vegetarian options, and even dessert. But for me, it was all about the pizza. The crust was the perfect amount of crunchy and the toppings were so fresh and flavorful. To top it off, the presentation was beautiful.

The only downside is that they don’t have delivery, but that’s a small price to pay when you consider what a nice tourist spot this restaurant is. So if you’re ever in Napa Valley looking for the best pizza around – Pizzeria Tra Vigne should be at the top of your list!

#4 Velo Deli & Pizzeria

What’s great about this spot is that they only use the freshest ingredients to create their delicious thin-crust pizzas. The dough is made with fresh flour and water, while the sauce is made with ripe tomatoes. On top of that, they offer a variety of topping combinations, including a classic margherita, topped with mozzarella and basil.

The atmosphere at Velo Deli & Pizzeria is relaxed and inviting, making it an ideal place for friends or family to gather over some amazing pizza. You can even BYOB for your group!

One downside I noticed about this spot was that there’s no delivery option. However, I think you’d be hard-pressed to find better pizza in Napa Valley than from Velo Deli & Pizzeria – so it’s worth taking a quick trip out there if you’re in the mood for some delicious homemade pizza!

#5 Filippi’s Pizza Grotto

My first bite was loaded with all the flavors of Italy – tangy tomato sauce, gooey cheese, hot pepperoni and Italian herbs like oregano. I’m not sure what kind of magical ingredients they use, but it was absolutely delicious!

The crust is thin and perfectly cooked – definitely my favorite part of the pizza. It’s crunchy on the outside and still soft in the middle. Perfection!

The atmosphere at Filippi’s Pizza Grotto is great too! The cozy eatery is nestled in a small corner of downtown Napa Valley. Not only is the team friendly and welcoming, but they also take the time to explain their recipes and craftsmanship when it comes to making each pie.

I’m telling you, Filippi’s Pizza Grotto has some of the best pizza in Napa Valley! Do yourself a favor and take a trip over there for a slice or two (or three).

#6 MOD Pizza

The atmosphere at MOD Pizza is light and cheerful, with a modern décor, vibrant colors, and upbeat music. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which contributes to the overall pleasant experience.

I sampled the classic margherita pizza from MOD Pizza and it did not disappoint! The pepperoni was nice and crispy, the cheese melted perfectly, and the sauce had just the right amount of sweet and salty flavor. Of course I couldn’t resist trying their signature pesto drizzle…it was amazing!

In conclusion MOD Pizza is an excellent choice for anyone looking for great pizza in Napa Valley. For me personally, it’s definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve had in my travels so far!

#7 Azzurro Pizzeria e Enoteca

The atmosphere is perfect for tourists looking to explore the area, and the staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable. The menu has plenty of options for everyone – with vegetarian options, a kid’s menu, and even desserts. Plus, you can enjoy an alcoholic beverage along with your meal!

My pizza was delicious – perfectly cooked crust and ingredients bursting with flavor. The only downside here is that Azzurro Pizzeria e Enoteca doesn’t offer delivery – so you will have to eat in or take out.

Overall, I’d highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Napa Valley!

#8 Papa Joe’s

I had heard that Papa Joe’s was the place to go for the best pizza in Napa Valley, so I decided to check it out. When I walked in, I was immediately taken with the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.

The pizza itself was amazing — it was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of cheese, sauce, and toppings. The crust was perfectly crisp and chewy. Every bite was an explosion of flavors! It definitely lived up to its hype as one of the best pizzas in town!

What really made this experience special, however, were all of the extras that Papa Joe’s offers — from a variety of craft beers on tap to live music. It created a truly unique atmosphere that you don’t find at many other places.

#9 The Forge Handcrafted Pizza and Brewpub Napa

I started out with the “Signature Forge Pizza,” a classic combination of Italian sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, red onions and green bell peppers. It was delicious – the meats were fresh and flavorful, while the vegetables added a nice crunchy texture. The crust was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of cheese to top it off.

Next up I had a thin crust Margherita pizza – simple yet incredibly tasty. The flavors of tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and basil blended together perfectly. The thin crust gave this classic dish a lightness that made it really enjoyable.

For dessert I indulged in some “Extreme Chocolate” pizza – an interesting combination of dark chocolate chips, honeycomb peppermint pieces and chocolate cream drizzled over the top. This sweet treat satisfied my sweet tooth perfectly!

The atmosphere of The Forge Handcrafted Pizza and Brewpub Napa is fun and lively, making it a great spot for large gatherings or date night. They also offer an impressive selection of beers on tap for you to enjoy with your meal!

All in all, I highly recommend The Forge Handcrafted Pizza and Brewpub Napa if you’re looking for the best pizza in Napa Valley!

#10 Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza

I arrived at the restaurant, and was greeted by good-natured staff with a smile. The atmosphere here was fantastic – warm and inviting, which really set the tone for my experience.

After browsing the menu, I had to try their signature Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza. They hand-craft each pizza from fresh ingredients, and then you take it home to bake in your oven. It certainly sounded appealing, so that’s what I chose!

When I got home, I put my pizza in the oven and waited patiently as the pizzeria-fresh smells wafted through my home. After a few minutes of smiling as I inhaled the aroma of freshly-baked pizza, it was ready for me to eat.

And boy oh boy did it taste delicious! The crust was crisp and airy, with just the right amount of doughiness; the mozzarella cheese was stretchy yet flavorful; and all of the toppings were fresh and succulent. It definitely lived up to its billing as some of the best pizza in Napa Valley!

Not only do they offer great quality food, but their prices are super reasonable too. So if you’re ever looking for fantastic pizza that won’t break your bank account, Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza is definitely worth checking out!

#11 New York Pizza Kitchen

When I first saw the menu, I was in awe – there were so many options available and every single one sounded delicious. After much deliberation, I finally decided on a classic New York style cheese pizza.

The pizza did not disappoint! The combination of perfectly crisp and chewy dough, flavorful tomato sauce, and melty mozzarella cheese was exactly what I had been looking for. The service was also very friendly and attentive – the staff even answered all of my questions with a smile.

Overall, New York Pizza Kitchen is an excellent option if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Napa Valley. A must-try spot for any foodie traveler!
