#1 Pizza Lupo
- Offers dessert
The first thing that impressed me was the atmosphere. The place has such a cool, rustic vibe that makes it so inviting! From the open kitchen to the wooden tables, everything looks like it was straight out of an Italian village.
The pizza itself is cooked to perfection. If you want something classic and delicious, try their Margherita pizza; it’s the perfect blend of light tomato sauce and melted cheese with a nice crunchy crust. For something more adventurous, go for their Capricciosa which has artichokes, mushrooms and black olives – yum!
My favorite part about Pizza Lupo is their service though. It’s friendly but professional; they make sure that your food is always hot and delicious without being intrusive or overbearing. They also have some great wine available in addition to all of their superb pizzas.
Overall, I think Pizza Lupo is one of the best pizza places in North Hills Pittsburgh! I can’t recommend it enough!

The pizza here was nice and thin, with just the right amount of crunch. The toppings were fresh, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Plus, I could really appreciate the care taken in making sure that each slice was consistent and tasty.
What really impressed me about this place was its atmosphere. Just walking in, it had a cozy feel! I felt welcomed and well taken care of by the staff which made my experience even more enjoyable.
As far as downsides go, Fiori’s Pizzaria doesn’t offer delivery. That’s a bit of a bummer if you’re craving their deliciousness without leaving your house. But hey, sometimes going out is worth it to have the best pizza in North Hills Pittsburgh!
All in all, Fiori’s Pizzaria is a great spot for tourists looking to try some of the best pizza around- plus they have an excellent atmosphere to top it off!
#3 Driftwood Oven

I’ve had pizza all over the world, from New York to Italy to Australia, but this place is truly something special. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, with just the right amount of char that made it so delightfully flavorful. And the toppings! Oh my, the toppings were beyond compare. Fresh ingredients that had obviously been hand-selected and prepared with love.
The atmosphere was also incredible – cozy yet sophisticated – and it felt as if I’d stepped into some kind of magical Italian taverna. Great music playing in the background, lively conversations around me, and friendly wait staff that were more than happy to help with anything I needed.

#4 Badamo’s Pizza – Northside
- Has some vegetarian options
- Offers dessert
As I stepped through the door of Badamo’s, I was immediately taken back by the classic Italian pizza parlor atmosphere. The walls were lined with pictures of celebrities who had been there before, and it felt as if time had stopped in this place for decades.
But enough about the ambiance – how was the pizza? In one word: amazing! The crust was perfectly cooked, not too thick and not too thin. The cheese was melted to perfection, its flavor blending wonderfully with each bite. And the topping choices were plentiful and varied – from classic pepperoni to an array of veggie options; they really do have something for everyone!
Of course, no visit is complete without trying a few slices of their famous specialty pizzas. From their classic margherita pizza to their crazy-creative combinations like bacon cheeseburger and garlic chicken ranch, you definitely won’t be disappointed with these pies!

#5 Pelegrino’s Pizza & Pasta
- Offers dessert
Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was impressed with how welcoming and friendly the staff were. Even though it was a busy night, they managed to make it feel like our table was the most important one in the place.
The menu was extensive, featuring classic pizzas as well as some gourmet offerings. After much deliberation, I decided to go with a simple pepperoni pizza – and boy am I glad I did! The crust was perfectly thin and crispy – not too greasy or doughy – and each bite tasted like it had been lovingly hand-crafted. The cheese was rich and flavorful; the pepperoni had just the right amount of spice; and the tomato sauce added an extra layer of flavor that made this pizza stand out.
I also sampled Pelegrino’s Pasta which also blew me away! The textures were just right, al dente but still creamy enough to be appealing. The flavors were intense yet balanced in a way that only an Italian master chef could pull off.
All in all, Pelegrino’s Pizza & Pasta is definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in North Hills Pittsburgh!
#6 Spak Brothers
- Nice tourist spot
- Has some vegetarian options
The first thing that caught my attention was the smell of the fresh-baked dough wafting up from their kitchen. It was a classic pizza smell, but with something special added. I eagerly ordered a few slices to try.
The taste was incredible! The perfectly cooked crust had just the right amount of chewiness, and their signature tomato sauce was tangy and flavorful. I found the cheese to be amazing as well – it had an almost buttery quality to it!
My favorite part of eating here though was the atmosphere; it’s like walking into a time machine and being transported decades back in time. The walls are covered with vintage movie posters, which adds a cozy and homey vibe to the place. In addition, Tony Spak (the co-owner) is always around greeting customers with his charismatic smile, adding to the already great atmosphere.
Overall, Spak Brothers is a must-try for anyone looking for some of the best pizza in North Hills Pittsburgh. With its fantastic ingredients, vintage decor and welcoming atmosphere – you won’t regret this experience!
#7 Badamo’s Pizza – Mt. Lebanon
I visited Badamo’s for the first time a few weeks ago and I can honestly say it was some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. The crust was perfectly cooked, with just enough crunch and flavor to make it delicious. Their homemade sauce was packed with flavor, giving the perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness. Topping-wise, they had an impressive selection – from pepperoni to housemade sausage – that added to the deliciousness of the pie.
I also tried their calzones, which were just as tasty as the pizza! The dough was soft and chewy, while still having a nice crisp on the outside. And just like with their pizzas, they used generous amounts of cheese and toppings that made them irresistible.
If you’re looking for great pizza in North Hills Pittsburgh, then look no further than Badamo’s Pizza – Mt. Lebanon. It may be a little out of your way but trust me – it’s worth the drive!
#8 Hog’s Head Bar and Grill
- Great place to watch sports
- Has a kid’s menu
- Serves alcohol (and hard liquor!)

- No delivery
It’s obvious that they take great pride in their pizzas. The dough is light and fluffy, and the toppings are always fresh and full of flavor. I also appreciate how they offer a wide range of options from classic pepperoni to gourmet combos like Prosciutto with Fig Jam.
But what really sets Hog’s Head apart for me is their atmosphere. For starters, it’s the perfect spot for a family gathering or catching the game with friends. Plus, you don’t have to worry about the little ones getting antsy – they offer a great kids’ menu that’ll satisfy even picky eaters! And if you’re looking for a night out on the town, you’ll be pleased to know they also serve alcoholic beverages (including hard liquor)!
As if that wasn’t enough, they even have dessert options available to really tantalize your taste buds!
The only downside I can think of is that they don’t offer delivery service but I suppose it’s worth it when you consider all you’re getting here. It’s no surprise then why Hog’s Head Bar and Grill is my go-to spot for pizza in North Hills Pittsburgh – definitely worth checking out!

I’ve tried pizzas from all over the country, but I must say that Eddie’s Pizza Haus stands out from the pack. The pizza is always cooked to perfection, with a perfect mix of cheese, sauce, and toppings that come together to make something truly delicious.
The service at Eddie’s Pizza Haus is top-notch as well. Every time I walk in, I’m greeted with a warm smile, an attentive ear for my pizza order, and a friendly face that makes me feel like I’m part of the family.
Even more impressive than the pizza and service is the atmosphere at Eddie’s Pizza Haus. The décor is comfortable and inviting and it has a nice neighborhood vibe that encourages conversation among patrons while they wait for their orders.

#11 Giorgio’s Place
When I walked into Giorgio’s, I couldn’t believe my senses. The aroma was heavenly; it smelled like a combination of fresh herbs and delicious cheese.
Once I got to my seat, the friendly staff quickly brought me a steaming hot pizza that looked like it had just come out of the oven. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy – not soggy at all – surrounding an array of toppings that were cooked to perfection.
The flavors were incredible, from the zesty sauce to the combination of cheeses and meats. It may be an understatement to say that Giorgio’s pizza will tantalize your taste buds!
My friends kept trying to steal pieces from me because it was so tasty, but I managed to keep them away (it wasn’t easy!). If you’re looking for the best pizza in North Hills Pittsburgh, then Giorgio’s Place should definitely be your go-to spot!
