I was immediately taken aback when I walked in the door – Galleria Umberto oozes with old-world Italian charm. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that they serve alcohol – it’s the perfect accompaniment to a delicious pie!
The pizza here is nothing short of amazing. My favorite is the classic Margherita, but all their pizzas are incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection.

#2 Pizzeria Rustico
- Offers dessert
I recently visited this restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of toppings and options they had. The pizza dough was thin and crispy while still being soft, and the homemade Italian sausage topping was flavorful. Another great topping option was their roasted mushrooms – it added an unexpected sweetness to the pizza that I really enjoyed.
But what really set Pizzeria Rustico apart from all other pizzerias were their unique dishes. Their famous seafood pizza combined some of the freshest seafood ingredients for a flavorful combination that wasn’t overly heavy or salty. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you can’t miss their Gorgonzola zucchini pizza!
The atmosphere at Pizzeria Rustico is also inviting and cozy, although it can get pretty busy during peak times. But it’s worth the wait! The staff are always friendly and accommodating, so you don’t have to worry about being rushed out when you finish your meal either.
All in all, I highly recommend visiting Pizzeria Rustico if you’re looking for the best pizza in Boston North End. Whether you stick with classic topping combinations or go for something more out of the box, you won’t be disappointed with your slice!
#3 Regina Pizzeria
- Nice tourist spot
- Serves alcohol
- Has some vegetarian options
- Offers dessert
I’m always skeptical of a place that has such a long history, since it’s usually a sign that the food is outdated. But Regina Pizzeria seemed to have found the magic formula for perfect pizza. The crust was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of chewiness – not too soft and not too crunchy. And their signature red sauce was so delicious I could’ve eaten it with a spoon!
The toppings were plentiful, but they weren’t overwhelming either. The pepperoni still had that nice smoky flavor, while the mushrooms were extra juicy and fragrant. And let’s not forget about the cheese – it was just oozing off the slices!
But what really sets Regina Pizzeria apart from other pizzerias is their commitment to fresh ingredients. All of their produce is locally sourced and organic, making each slice even more flavorful.
If you’re looking for an amazing pizza experience in North End Boston, I fully recommend Regina Pizzeria as your destination!
#4 Locale

The atmosphere of the restaurant is something to write home about. The brick walls, rustic decorations, and dimly lit interior give it a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Most of all, I was surprised by how clean and modern the restaurant was!
Now, on to the food. The menu has all sorts of pizzas, from classic combinations like pepperoni and mushrooms to more experimental ones like fig and prosciutto. No matter what you choose though, you can be sure that you’ll get a delicious pizza with crispy crusts and fresh ingredients every single time.
And the pricing is pretty reasonable too. You get more than enough pizza for your money; one pizza could easily feed two people!

The atmosphere at Ernesto’s is perfect for a fun night out with friends. The stone oven-baked pizza has a perfectly crisp crust and fresh, flavorful toppings. And don’t forget the sausage! It was cooked to perfection and added that smoky, spicy flavor that makes great pizza even better.
The service was also top notch. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, making sure we were taken care of. He was also great at explaining the menu and guiding us through our selections.

From the moment I stepped through their front door, I knew I was in for a treat. The cozy atmosphere, with its warm colors and bustling staff, immediately welcomed me like an old friend. The service at Rina’s was outstanding as well. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and attentive – even providing us with menu items that weren’t on the menu! (And let me tell you, what he recommended was spot-on!)

I can honestly say that the pizza at Beneventos is some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, while still maintaining its structure so it didn’t fall apart when you picked it up. The tomato sauce was incredibly fresh and flavorful, with just a hint of spice. The cheese came out nicely melted and slightly browned, which gave it even more flavor.
But what really sets Beneventos apart from other pizza joints is its topping selection. From traditional classics like pepperoni or sausage to creative offerings like eggplant or ricotta-filled calzones, there’s something for everyone at Beneventos. And when I say “something for everyone,” I mean it – they even have vegan and gluten-free options!
The atmosphere at Beneventos is warm and lively, and their staff are always friendly and welcoming. Even on busy nights, they make sure that all orders are filled quickly without sacrificing quality.

- Nice tourist spot
My first bite of the classic Margherita Pizza was an absolute delight! The delicious combination of mozzarella, fresh basil, and zesty crushed tomato sauce made it clear why Ducali is so famous. The crust was perfectly chewy and the balance of flavors was just right.
I also sampled a few of their original creations including the Butternut Squash & Ricotta, Porchetta & Broccolini and Carbonara Pizzas – all amazing in their own way! Each pizza had a different flavor profile that only served to expand my taste buds. They each tasted as though they were created by expert chefs who had devoted their lives to constructing perfection in every bite.
But I must say the highlight of my experience at Ducali Pizzeria & Bar was their famous Clam Pie. It’s one of their signature dishes and I can easily understand why – the combination of clams with oregano, olive oil, garlic and a little bit of heat blended together seamlessly creating an unforgettable flavor experience.
