I had the great pleasure of trying out 11 different pizza places in this small upstate New York town, and I have to say, they served up some pretty amazing pies! As someone who has been around the world tasting pizza, I have to admit that Greece NY definitely surprised me with their deliciousness.

#1 Purple Monster Pizza

I was skeptical when I first arrived, but after sinking my teeth into their cheesy deliciousness, I quickly changed my mind. The crust is crispy yet still soft and fluffy on the inside. Their sauce is always a delight – sweet and tangy. And the toppings are always fresh and flavorful.

The atmosphere of Purple Monster Pizza is also top-notch. It’s cozy without being cramped, friendly without being overwhelming, and fun without being overbearing – a perfect place to enjoy a night out with friends or family.

What really sets Purple Monster Pizza apart is the unique ingredients they are using in their pizzas. From feta cheese to spinach pesto sauce to sun dried tomatoes, these creative cooking combinations really set this pizza above all others in Greece NY!

#2 La Famiglia Pizzeria

I’m not just saying that because I was born here, the pizza here is simply delicious. The crust has the perfect touch of crunch and chew combined with a hint of garlic, while the sauce is made to perfection and is never too sweet or too salty.

And don’t even get me started on the cheese! It’s like they use some kind of special magic to make it stretchy, creamy, and just right each and every time. Even after being cooked in La Famiglia’s wood-fired ovens it still manages to remain deliciously melty and cheesy.

The toppings are also amazing – everything from olives and anchovies to peppers and pineapple are always fresh, flavorful and oh so inviting!

I’d be hard pressed to find better pizza anywhere else in Greece NY, but if you’re ever in town looking for some great Italian grub you must give La Famiglia Pizzeria a try. You won’t be disappointed!

#3 Carbone’s Pizzeria

The atmosphere there is cozy and inviting, yet the energy of the place is energetic and exciting. I swear the pizza literally jumps out of the oven it’s so good! The crust is thin and crispy, while the cheese is gooey and delightfully cheesy. Plus, they have a variety of toppings that can be added to make any pie you can think of!

The ingredients are top-notch–fresh produce, delicious sauces, and locally made cheeses. And Carbone’s takes extra care with each pizza they make; even their simplest pies are artfully composed!

I will say, however, that there’s one downside to Carbone’s Pizzeria: They don’t offer delivery. But in my opinion, it’s definitely worth a trip over there to enjoy a slice (or two!).

#4 Trotto’s Pizzeria

The first thing that struck me was the warm atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, it really made me feel at home.

The pizza itself was incredible. The classic pepperoni flavor was just the right balance of tangy, salty and sweet. The dough had a pleasant crunchiness to it and was cooked to perfection. The crust wasn’t too thick either; it was just the right amount of crispness that I was looking for in a pizza.

I also sampled some of their specialty pizzas, like the Mediterranean with feta cheese, olives and tomato sauce. It seemed to be everyone’s favorite judging by all the empty plates!

Overall, Trotto’s Pizzeria is one of the best pizzerias around! They have quality ingredients, an inviting atmosphere and excellent customer service – what more could you ask for? In my opinion, they are definitely worth a visit if you’re in Greece NY looking for the best pizza possible!

#5 BTB Wood fired Pizza Bar & Grill

Everything about the pizza there is top-notch. The crust is perfectly cooked with a nice crispiness, and the cheese melts in your mouth. The toppings are always fresh and flavorful. Plus, the presentation of each pizza is an absolute delight – you can tell that a lot of care went into making each one special!

What’s especially great about BTB Wood fired Pizza Bar & Grill is that their prices are very reasonable too. With all the money I saved from eating here, I was able to get myself a few extra slices of their delicious pies.

#6 Carbone’s Pizzeria

As soon as I stepped into Carbone’s, I knew this was going to be an incredible experience. The atmosphere is inviting, with a warm and cozy vibe—you definitely feel like you’re in someone’s home. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about their menu.

When it comes to the pizza itself, prepare to have your taste buds tantalized! Their pizza crust is light, chewy and crispy at the same time; they add just the right amount of sauce and cheese, making each bite a unique flavor explosion.

The downside? You can’t get delivery from Carbone’s – you have to go there in person if you want to indulge in their delicious pizzas. But trust me, it’s totally worth it! Plus, you can take some home with you too!!

#7 Linda’s New York Pizzeria

I stopped in for a slice and was instantly sold. The crust was perfectly crispy, yet still chewy, the sauce was rich and tangy, and the cheese melted like butter on my tongue. I could tell that everything at Linda’s is made with real love and care – from the dough to the fresh toppings.

The restaurant isn’t huge but it has a warm atmosphere with plenty of booths for small groups or couples. And if you need to grab something fast, their pizza by the slice is perfect for those on-the-go. It even comes in a handy box that makes it easy to bring home leftovers (if there are any!).

I’d highly recommend trying out Linda’s New York Pizzeria if you’re ever in Greece NY – you won’t be disappointed! Their pizza really is some of the best I’ve had anywhere in the world!

#8 Ricci’s Family Restaurant

The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, with plenty of room for the whole family. The pizza was delicious, with just the right amount of cheese and crust—it’s definitely a must-try!

I also have to mention that Ricci’s offers something unique: all types of beer, wine, and hard liquor! That means this restaurant is perfect for pizza lovers of any age. Not only that, but they also have a kid’s menu and some vegetarian options—something that can be hard to find in many places these days.

If there is one downside to Ricci’s it is that they don’t deliver. But don’t let that stop you—it’s totally worth it to make the drive into town. I would suggest capping off your meal with one of the insanely good desserts they offer.

In sum: If you’re looking for great pizza in Greece NY, Ricci’s Family Restaurant should definitely be at the top of your list!

#9 Savastano’s Bakery & Pizzeria

The atmosphere at the restaurant is excellent and the staff is friendly and helpful. Their pizza takes me right back to my childhood with its perfect combination of salty, sweet, and savory flavors. The crust is light and crispy and the toppings are delicious.

My favorite is their special Greek-style pie which is covered with lots of fresh vegetables, feta cheese, olives, and oregano. It’s an absolute delight! And if that wasn’t enough, they also have an amazing selection of homemade desserts from flaky pastries to creamy gelato.

I’m definitely going to be returning here often – after all, it’s been confirmed that Savastano’s Bakery & Pizzeria has the best pizza in Greece NY!

#10 The Pizza Stop

As I walked through the door, the smell of fresh pizza wafted into my nostrils and transported me to Italy. The decor was inviting, with a cozy seating area, complete with Tiffany lamps and a flat-screen TV playing classic Italian movies.

The menu at The Pizza Stop was impressive, boasting everything from white pizzas to Sicilian pies and even gluten-free options. After some debate (I’m never one to make decisions quickly) I decided on the Supreme Pizza, topped with everything from pepperoni to mushrooms.

My expectations were high, but The Pizza Stop exceeded them! The crust was perfectly crisp yet chewy, and the sauce was sweet and flavorful without being overpowering. Topping it all off were generous amounts of cheese which melted in my mouth with every bite.

Worth mentioning is their exceptional customer service – everyone was friendly and helpful, giving recommendations on what toppings might best suit my palette. If there’s any downside to this place it’s that it wasn’t open 24/7 (but I guess you can’t have everything).

#11 Cinelli’s Pizza & Italian Kitchen

As soon as I walked in, I knew this was a special place. The mouth-watering aroma of homemade pizza laced with oregano and garlic was enough to make me hungry. I immediately ordered the classic “Margherita,” which was thinly sliced mozzarella; rich, red tomato sauce; and fragrant basil on a hand-tossed crust. The crust had just the right crunch that’s so hard to find these days, and the perfect balance of fresh ingredients made it taste positively heavenly.

Next up was their signature “Greece NY” pizza made with Italian sausage, peppers, mushrooms, and onions—the perfect blend of Italian flavors! The sausage was perfectly cooked, the peppers sweet yet still tangy, and the mushrooms gave it a wonderful earthiness. This might just be my new favorite slice of pie!

Finally, we sampled their “Loaded Baked Potato” pizza. This cheesy delight is topped with mashed potatoes, bacon bits, onions, and cheddar cheese sauce. It’s like eating a baked potato in pizza form—so yummy!

All in all, Cinelli’s Pizza & Italian Kitchen is one of the best pizzerias I’ve ever visited in Greece NY. They truly put love into every slice you order—I know I’m looking forward to coming back for more!
