It was a pleasant surprise to find such a great pizza place in upstate New York. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff was very friendly.
The restaurant offers an extensive selection of pizzas for you to customize – from the crust to the toppings – with fresh, quality ingredients that make every bite enjoyable. I tried the half pepperoni and half bacon, and it was truly sensational! The thin crust held all the toppings perfectly and had a great crispy texture.
The service at Create A Pizza is also top-notch. They were quick to take my order and serve me my pizza within minutes!

#2 Nino’s Pizzeria
When I arrived at Nino’s Pizzeria, I was blown away by the atmosphere. It was such a cozy and inviting spot with red and white checked tablecloths, wooden tables, and a warm ambience perfect for enjoying pizza.
The food at Nino’s was simply amazing. I had never tasted pizza so delicious before! The crust was thin and crispy on the outside but still soft in the middle. And the toppings were perfectly balanced – not too much cheese, but just enough to give it that great flavor combination.
The staff at Nino’s was also full of personality. They were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu offerings, offering great suggestions whenever we had questions. Plus, they were always willing to go above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant experience.

#3 The Pizza Stop

The restaurant was full of locals and tourists, which is always a good sign in my book. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
I’m a big believer that the best way to review pizza is to try it for yourself, so I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza. It arrived at my table piping hot, with generous amounts of toppings, just the way I like it. The crust had a nice crunch to it and the flavor was spot on – something that can’t be said for all pizzas!
Overall, I’d say The Pizza Stop offers one of the best pizzas around. If you’re ever in the Rochester area, be sure to stop by – your taste buds won’t regret it!

My experience started off with the warm and inviting atmosphere, which felt like a home away from home. The staff was friendly and had helpful suggestions for what to order. I went with the Tastes-Like-Heaven Supreme pizza and it definitely lived up to its name! It had the perfect combination of ingredients, from pepperoni to mushrooms.
The real highlight of my visit, though, was the crust. Though thin, it still maintained its structure when I took a bite – a sign of true quality. And the flavor was unique yet unmistakably pizza-y – I’ve tasted nothing else like it!
Overall, Pizza Wizard has earned my vote as having some of the best pizza in Rochester NY. Not only is their food exceptional, but their customer service and welcoming atmosphere make this spot even more enjoyable. The crust was incredibly flavorful, with that perfect balance of crunch and chewiness. The sauce was superbly tangy, with just the right amount of spice. Every bite I took had me salivating for more!
The toppings were plentiful and varied. From classic pepperoni and sausage to some unique choices like artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, and even marinated portobellos – there truly was something for everyone.
My absolute favorite part of Galleria Pizza is the cheese. They use a special blend of Italian cheeses which give every bite incredible flavor and a creamy texture that’s absolutely divine.
I simply cannot say enough about this pizza place – it’s definitely one of the best in Rochester NY!
#7 Veneto Wood Fired Pizza & Pasta

The crust is cooked perfectly to give it a wood-fired flavor, and the cheese is creamy and delicious. The pasta is cooked al dente and really brings out the flavors of the sauce. But what really makes this place special are their toppings! From the freshest veggies to premium meats, everything is fresh and flavorful.
I especially love their signature pies like the Rossi, which features house-made sausage, caramelized onions, roasted garlic, and mozzarella. It’s simply heavenly!
The atmosphere at Veneto is great too. I love that it has a rustic charm with its wood-burning ovens, dim lighting, and cozy seating.

#8 Carbone’s Pizzeria

I was treated to a delicious classic Margherita pizza with fresh tomato sauce and basil, along with a thin-crust pepperoni that was packed with incredible flavor. The dough was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of crunch.
The service at Carbone’s Pizzeria is top notch – they’re always friendly, helpful and attentive. They really strive to make sure you have an enjoyable experience in their restaurant.
Unfortunately, Carbone’s Pizzeria does not offer delivery, which is a huge downside for me. But it’s worth the trip to their restaurant if you want the best pizza in Rochester NY!

I had the pleasure of trying their famous ‘Linda’s Special’ and it far exceeded my expectations. The crust was thin, chewy and crisp, with just the right amount of cheese. The sauce was flavorful and well balanced, with plenty of garlic and herbs. To top it all off, the toppings were fresh and really hit the spot.
The atmosphere in Linda’s New York Pizzeria felt like an old-fashioned pizzeria from NYC – without all the hustle and bustle! The staff were friendly and attentive, while still staying busy creating amazing pies.

#10 Rhino’s Pizzeria
From the moment I walked in and smelled the garlic and oregano, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with jazz playing softly in the background. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made my experience even more enjoyable.
Now let’s talk about the pizza! My favorite was their classic cheese pizza – it had a delicious crispy crust, topped with freshly grated mozzarella cheese and a savory tomato sauce. The toppings were fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The flavor was amazing!
But they also offer other menu items like calzones, strombolis, salads, wings, subs and more. You could eat here several times over without getting bored of their menu options.

#11 OTR Woodfire Tavern

The restaurant is cozy and inviting, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The pizza here is cooked in a wood-fired oven, giving it a unique flavor that can’t be found anywhere else!
To start off my meal, I sampled their garlic knots – an absolute must for any pizza connoisseur. They were delectable, with the perfect balance of crunchy outside and soft inside. The garlic was definitely key in making them so delicious!
For my actual meal, I tried a classic Neapolitan-style Margherita pizza. It was mouthwateringly good – the flavor of the homemade tomato sauce jumped out at me first, then followed by the sweet basil and creamy mozzarella topping it off perfectly. What made this pizza stand out for me though was the delicious taste of the crust – it had a nice char on it from being cooked in that wood-fired oven, but still had its classic chewy texture.
Last but not least was dessert – they have some amazing cannolis! Crispy shells filled with ricotta cheese and dusted with powdered sugar make these an ideal end to any meal at OTR Woodfire Tavern.
Overall I’m very impressed with what OTR Woodfire Tavern has to offer! From their incredible pizzas to their exquisite desserts, they certainly have earned their spot as one of Rochester’s best pizzerias!
